Situated in the heart of Vienna, close to the bustling Ringstrasse and directly opposite the Vienna State Opera – the privately owned Hotel Sacher Wien is an Austrian institution since its opening in 1876. Guests can enjoy a drink in the ''Blaue Bar'', ''Cafe Sacher Wien'' offering Viennese coffee specialities and the original Sacher-Torte, snack and wine bar ''Sacher Eck''. The Sacher spa is the ideal place to unwind and offers a thermal area including a historical sauna, aroma salt steam room, herbal bath, vital sensory showers, ice fountain and meditation room and relaxation area. Treatments by Ligne St. Barth, La Prairie and signature treatments by Time to Chocolate Body Care, as well as a fitness centre are on offer. These rooms are 30 m2 and are located on floors 1-4. They have a traditional style and are beautifully equipped with elegant furniture, choice antiques and fine fabrics to help create a warm and luxurious atmosphere. They also feature high ceilings, crystal chandelier, and original oil paintings.***The hotel is undergoing renovations of guest rooms on a floor by floor basis from 11/10/10 until 15/11/11 in two phases. From 11/10/10 until 30/11/10 guest rooms on the 4th floor and from 09/05/11 until 15/11/11 guest rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor will be renovated. The rooms’ availability will be slightly reduced. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00am to 06:00pm. There will be minimal noise disturbance during these periods.***
