Since the grand opening in 1870, the Grand Hotel Wien was famous for being at the very hub of Viennese social life - and it still is today! The hotel’s glittering past and shining future have been fused together when the Grand Hotel Wien re-opened in 1994. Despite its long and rich history, the hotel is one of the most modern and luxurious hotels in Austria today. It is ideally located in the heart of Vienna, on the famous "Wiener Ringstraße" boulevard and just a few steps to the Vienna State Opera and the "Kaerntner Street" for an incomparable setting. The hotel features a Japanese speciality restaurant, "Unkai", which has been awarded by Gault Millau. The 36 residential-styled Deluxe rooms, elegantly furnished in the colours green and yellow, measure between 35-45 sqm. Located at different floors, all Deluxe rooms offer city or courtyard views, a large king-size bed or twin beds and a very comfortable sitting area. The bathrooms are luxuriously designed with marble and offer a double washbasin.
