The Eos Hotel, named after the Greek goddess of the dawn, is the beginning of a new concept in hotels, a concentration of tradition and cutting-edge, a pilot structure that shies away from the traditional notion of hôtellerie by proposing 15 different types of rooms, united by a design in close harmony with the architecture, the colours, the materials and the distinctive features of Salento. Positioned in the immediate vicinity of Porta S. Biagio, gateway to the Old Town and the most exclusive haunts in Lecce, the hotel arose from a team project, a competition in interior design planning that involved several young architects and craftsmen from the area in the research into and production of every single detail. The hotel offers round-the-clock room and concierge services, a fitness centre, shuttle service to/from the airport, shoeshine service, multilingual staff, as well as a garage and valet service. The Espera coffee bar and wine bar is a dynamic and youthful setting, furnished with exclusive details and decorative elements that make the atmosphere warm and relaxing, in perfect equilibrium between the tradition of the materials and sophisticated design with sleek and modern lines. By opening its doors to the city, it is available to non-patrons of the hotel for hasty working breakfasts, delicious aperitifs and teas, or in the evening, for sipping a drink in company or tasting a glass of fine wine. In the rooms, Salento and design merge in a free interpretation of style; the designers propose contained dimensions that rarely, and in any case only slightly, exceed the standard minimum sizes. Freed from useless encumbrances, the rooms were planned on the basis of the real requirements of the modern traveller favouring functionality and comfort, and they are distinguished by the diversification of their furnishings. The bathrooms are proportionately more spacious and in harmony with the decor; they have more facilities and comforts than the traditional three-star hotel, such as a roomy shower or a direct telephone line, they have regular contours, a dynamic style and a captivating design, just like the thirty rooms, which are all different from each other.
