The 4-star InterCityHotel Essen was opened in August 2008 and is located right in the heart of the "Ruhr Metropolis". Its 168 rooms and studios are comfortably equipped and offer an atmosphere to feel good. The hotel’s privileged location, only 250m from the main station and the business district, makes it the ideal starting point for your commercial appointments and for your discovery of the modern Ruhr area. The ticket for public transport within the Rhine-Ruhr area is included in the room price. The pedestrian zone, the Essen Cathedral with the cathedral treasure chest, the Grillo Theatre and the new shopping centre at the Limbecker Platz are all comfortably reachable on foot. There are 10 parking spots behind the hotel for a fee. Public car parks are located in the area. The InterCityHotel Essen restaurant and bar present themselves in a modern and bright atmosphere. The guests can expect a substantial breakfast buffet with different bread and roll types, sausage and cheese specialities, muesli, fresh fruit and juice, coffee and tea. The restaurant in the hotel also offers a large selection of regional specialities and national dishes.
