LOCATION: This historical 4-star hotel is located in the heart of Como city centre in a picturesque area next to the Duomo with magnificent views of the lake. There are plenty of things to do and see right on your doorstep. Many restaurants and bars are nearby. EXTERIOR: The property consists of two buildings. "Plinius" that is one of the oldest buildings in town. It was created by the famous Architect Federico Frigerio. The property is a beautiful historical building full of character dating back from the 18th century with a white coloured facade. The other building is called "Pianella wing" which is a modern building and offers a fabulous view. ROOMS: Rooms vary in size due to the historical nature of the building but most are medium to large in size. All rooms are carpeted throughout and classical but elegantly decorated. Rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with all facilities of first class hotel. Some rooms feature amazing views. Bathrooms are spacious, clean and in good conditions. RESTAURANTS and BARS: The "Antica Darsena" restaurant is an elegant dining room located in the ground floor with a beautiful view. The restaurant offers local and international cuisine. The dining room is open from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and in the evenings is open from 7:30 to 10:00. In spring and summer guests can sit on the open terrace The "Ceccato Garden Bar" which is the hotel's private garden and enjoy delicious snacks and cold dishes.
