The hotel takes its name from the traditional district of Indautxu in the heart of the city's commercial and financial area. Only ten minutes on foot from the Gugenheim Museum and other places of interest like the Fine Arts Museum and the Euskalduna Conference Centre. The building that houses the Silken Indautxu, with its fine exterior in the Bilbaino style and totally renovated interior, is just one example of that blending of the traditional with the modern that so well defines the spirit of this special city. El Muelle bar, modelled on the famous English pubs, also offers good cocktails and "combinados", live music daily and special performances at weekends.
