Inaugurated in July 2002, Hotel Faro is one of the newer hotels located in the Algarve. This 4-star hotel, placed in the centre of Faro, near the marina and the historical area of the city, is placed 7 km from the International Airport of Faro, 500m from the bus station, 600m from the train station and with easy access to the highway with connections to Lisbon and Spain. The hotel has a monitored car park, located in the two basements of the building, with the capacity for 70 vehicles, and a business centre on the ground floor. The 90 modern rooms are decorated in a functional and extremely comfortable way, are equipped with a complete bathroom, air conditioning with individual regulation, direct dial telephone, Internet access, cable TV, radio, minibar and an individual safe free of charge. A restaurant, a panoramic bar, and terrace on the top floor of the building provide beautiful sights over Ria Formosa and the historical part of the city. From mid-June to mid-September, the Hotel Faro offers a free trip on a comfortable catamaran to the beautiful Ilha Deserta (Ilha Barreta or Ilha Deserta, a Desert Island) situated in the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Guests can spend a great day here at the beach surrounded by nature.
